Stress dealers are normally in slots 3 and 4. The backline enemies are usually stress dealers, spellcasters, or high damage enemies (eg. As a good rule of thumb, kill the enemy party roughly from back to front: the front line enemies are either high protection tanks that you should ignore, or maybe some straight damage dealers that are usually low priority. So bring characters that can target the back row reliably: Grave Robber, Hellion, Arbalest, Plague Doctor, Occultist, Houndmaster, etc. These enemies usually have similar characteristics: High speed, high dodge, low HP, and they hide in the back ranks. There are some others, but these are the most important ones. The main ones are: Cultist Acolyte (all areas), Bone Courtier (Ruins), Swine Drummer (Warrens), Crone (Weald), Pelagic Shaman (Cove) and Madman (all-highest priority!). Second: As noted above, kill enemies that cause stress. At 0 torchlight, you take a whopping 40% extra stress (but you get much more loot). Each torch gives 25 points, so you want to top it up regularly (you can use torches in combat if need be). For best (easiest) results, you want to keep that value above 75 during combat. If you hover the mouse over the torch icon in the top middle of the screen, you'll see how much light you have. Is it normal? How can my chars get less stress?įirst: Keep your torchlight up.
